Fabripod
Digital Design and Fabrication
About
Fabripod is a studio and testing ground for experimental digital design and fabrication. the name comes form Greek and Latin: Fabricate (to fashion, make, or build) and Pod (meaning foot or leg) and also with loose association with growing organisms (seed pod) and dwellings or collective communities (whale pod). The name attempts to encapsulate the ideas of making, automation growth and self organization into a single word. The ongoing work of the studio aims for the same goal: to uncover new ways of using systemic and process based tools for design optimization and fabrication.
"investigations that question issues and fundamental as what constitutes boundary and edge for the organization and definition of space and activity are not going to do so with broad brush strokes but through smaller controlled experiments focused on producing difference within an existing framework of technologies and materials "
